This refresher is for staff who have already completed initial safeguarding training and need to keep their knowledge sharp and current. In around two hours, staff revisit the essentials, tackle current risks such as child-on-child abuse and online sextortion, and complete a rigorous scenario-based assessment, earning a CPD-certified certificate for your compliance records.
  • Refresh the essentials - safeguarding versus child protection, and every adult's responsibility, whatever their role.
  • Recognise the signs - the four types of abuse and neglect, including affluent neglect.
  • Current risks, covered - child-on-child abuse, harmful sexual behaviour, online grooming, sextortion and AI-generated imagery.
  • Respond with confidence - suspicion, discovery and disclosure, the 5 Rs, and safe questioning.
  • Report correctly - factual recording, reporting in good faith, low-level concerns and whistleblowing.
  • Rigorous assessment - 15 scenario, matching and image-based questions with a 75% pass mark.
