CBCS is committed to safeguarding the health, safety and well-being of every student entrusted to the school. Safeguarding is a term which describes the ways in which we will protect the health, well-being, and human rights of children to live free from abuse. Since abuse and harm to children occurs more often than we realize or care to admit, intentional safeguarding policies involve partnering with people and organizations to prevent and reduce the risk, occurrences, and impact of harm to children. CBCS also recognizes the need to protect those who work with children. CBCS personnel and volunteers deserve the security of working in a setting where processes and procedures are in place to minimize the possibility of erroneous accusations.
